Modern Dog Portraits

So how about the “other” members of our family. The ones that are soooo excited to see you when you get home, never complain about what you’ve made for dinner or drain your pocketbook with things they “need”.  Yes, I’m talking about are beloved pets!! They’re just happy to be warm, dry, fed and of course LOVED!  Our Dakota is loved by everyone in the house!! She’s 2 years old and we all still fight to see who’s room she’ll sleep in at night. I’ve been wanting to expand and do more dog portraits…something  a little more fun and modern!  Which one do you love?

    Love ‘em! Dakota is such a silky, shiny coat of canine cuteness. My favorite is the 2nd to last shot. Love the composition and the ears. Everyone should have you photograph their pup!

    Hi Kath: They’re all great, but the two I’d say are my favorites are the second and fifth images. Love the big open eyes and the questioning look of #2 and the attentiveness shown in #5. Appears to be a one light setup (in a soft box) on seemless white background, with the bounce from the seamless providing the fill. Very cool.
